The Giant Factory Off-Road Team makes a strong start to the 2017 UCI Downhill World Cup season with podium results at Lourdes.
The Giant Factory Off-Road Team kicked off the 2017 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup season with strong downhill results at Lourdes, France. Cecile Ravanel posted a top result in the women's field while Martin Maes impressed in the elite men's race — a positive start to what the team expects to be a competitive season across all disciplines. Giant's DH platform received significant development investment over the winter, and early World Cup results suggest the work is paying dividends. The team travels next to the Cairns round in Australia before returning to Europe for the mid-season swing.
